Cookie policy
Gateway Estate Maintenance · effective from 22 August 2026
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. This page covers the cookies Gateway Estate Maintenance Ltd uses on the Gateway Estate Maintenance site, what they do and how to control them. Read it with our privacy policy. The landlord site and the customer portal run on a separate domain with their own cookie policy, and a choice made here does not carry across to it.
Essential cookies
These are necessary for the site to work: keeping forms secure and remembering your cookie choice. They need no consent and cannot be switched off through our controls, though your browser can block them, in which case the enquiry form and the Property Score check will stop working.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Security tokens | Protects forms against cross-site request forgery and abuse, including the enquiry form and the Property Score check. | Session |
| Cookie preferences (gem-consent) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies in the banner, so you are not asked on every page. | 6 months (180 days) |
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent we use analytics cookies to measure how this site is used: page views, journeys and broad device information. They are set only after you accept, this site reports into its own measurement property rather than a shared one, and no analytics data is combined with your customer records. We never send operational, customer or employee information to an analytics provider.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics identifiers (_ga, _ga_*) | Google Analytics, in our own measurement property for this site. Shows which pages are used and how visitors move through them. Data is aggregated and IP addresses are anonymised; it is not used to identify individuals. | Up to 24 months |
How to control cookies
On this site:accept or decline analytics cookies when the banner appears, and change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser. The choice is then presented again on your next visit.
In your browser:every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, per site or globally. Look for “Cookies and site data” in the privacy settings. Blocking everything will stop parts of this site working.
Analytics opt-outs: most analytics providers publish their own opt-out tools, such as browser add-ons that prevent measurement across every site that uses them.
